Murray, nursing student at University of Toledo INTRODUCTION The rise of patients with diabetes mellitus is growing both nationally and globally, and with that rise there needs to be a higher level of education and instruction on how to properly monitor blood glucose levels. That education needs to be individualized to the patient. For proper control of diabetes, it is essential for patients to actively participate in their own management such as appropriate diet, physical activity, blood glucose monitoring and adherence to medication (Eman et al. 2015, p. 5). Nurturing the Nursing Profession Scholarships (NNPS) standard

Nurturing the Nursing Profession Scholarships (NNPS) was founded in 2011 by Tara Lancione . During the years she worked as an oncology nurse, she was profoundly affected by the courage of the many patients she served, leading her to form NNPS. Tara and the NNPS board believe that well-educated nurses are essential to meeting increasingly complex health care needs.   NNPS is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to empower, inspire and support the education of current and future nurses. Hello! I am Kelsey Schuerger and I am your Council of School Presidents’ Director of the Ohio Student Nurses Association. NCLEX Tips standard

To study for the NCLEX this past June I spent about two weeks with various study materials (Books, online materials, etc.) During those two weeks I broke down all the content into sections like adult health, women’s health, pharmacy, pediatrics, etc. For the topics that I needed to review the most I would spend 2-3 days on that information. Then for topics I felt confident in, I would spend only 1-2 days reviewing. To review each section I found it was best to review all the information I had and then test myself on it.
